As the Marine Life Conservation Society, since 2015, in order to protect the unique biodiversity around the Islands, to reduce the threats it faces and to produce solutions to the threats against traditional fisheries; We wanted to create a protected area around Neandros (Rabbit) Island.

 

 

Following the application we made with the consultancy of expert scientists and all relevant non-governmental organizations and volunteers for the sustainability of the future marine life after all our works; Firstly, our Directorate General for Protection of Natural Assets and the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, and then Neandros (Rabbit) Island were taken under protection with the Presidential Decree No. 3817.

 

 

Planning has been started with the relevant institutions for the best protection of this area, details will be announced here as soon as possible.
